Which languages does Appricity support?
Appricity treats language as part of the data, not an afterthought: every piece of knowledge, every conversation and every configured message carries a language.
Which languages are fully supported?
English, French and Arabic. For these three:
- conversations detect the language from the contact's first message and answer in it;
- the sales methodologies ship with questions and stage names in all three;
- refusal messages can be written per language, falling back to English if a translation is left blank;
- prep tools (discovery questions, scorecards and call briefs) can be produced in any of the three.
Arabic is shown right to left on the voice talk page and in Arabic previews in the workspace.
Can a conversation switch language?
The language is set by the contact's first message and stays the same for the rest of that conversation, so answers don't flip between languages mid-thread.
Does my knowledge have to be in the same language as the question?
No. Knowledge is indexed by meaning across languages, so a question in French can be answered from an English document, and the other way round. When knowledge exists in the contact's own language, it's preferred.
How do I tell Appricity what language a document is in?
When you add a source under Sources, you set its language (English by default). Set it correctly: it's how Appricity prefers same-language passages and keeps answers natural.
Files added through the simpler Documents page are recorded as English. If you have a lot of French or Arabic material, add it through Sources, where you choose the language.
What about the company profile?
The company profile is written in the language most of your knowledge is in. You can edit any field afterwards, and your edits are kept.
What about the hand-over and holding messages?
The hand-over message and the out-of-hours holding message are free text, so write them in the language your contacts use. The default hand-over message is in English.
What about other languages?
Contacts writing in other languages may still get an answer in their language, but English, French and Arabic are the languages Appricity is tested and supported in. The workspace screens are in English.
Which voices speak which language?
Voice agents and voice deployments let you choose a voice per language for English, French and Arabic, so a French caller hears a French voice.
