Voice agents
A voice deployment puts one of your agents on a public talk page where buyers have a spoken conversation with it, answered from your knowledge, in real time.
What does a buyer experience?
They open the talk page in their browser, allow the microphone, and talk. The agent:
- opens every conversation with a spoken AI disclosure, which can't be removed;
- listens, answers from your knowledge and asks discovery questions, as it would in writing;
- can be interrupted mid-sentence, like a person;
- answers in English, French or Arabic, with a voice chosen for each language.
If you add a booking or chat link, the agent can point buyers to it.
Does every agent have a voice link?
Yes. Every agent gets its own talk page automatically, its voice link. Open the agent and the Voice link panel shows the link with Copy, an on/off switch, and your plan's voice minutes a month. The link always uses the agent's current voice and name: change the voice on the agent and the link follows. There's nothing to set up.
Voice links work on any plan that includes voice minutes. On a plan without them the panel shows the upgrade note instead of the link, and the link starts working as soon as you upgrade. If someone opens a talk page while voice isn't available, they see a short message, and your booking or chat link if you've set one, before they're ever asked for their microphone.
Voice links also appear in Voice deployments, marked Voice link. You can change their limits, website addresses, disclosure and speech recognition there; the agent and voice are shown read-only because they follow the agent.
What do I configure?
In Surfaces → Voice deployments, each deployment has:
- Identity: the agent who speaks, its role surface and brand pack, and whether the deployment is active.
- Voice: the speech provider and the voice per language, with previews. You can browse more voices from the provider's library.
- Phrases: how particular words and names should be said.
- Caps: minutes per session, minutes per website per day, and minutes per month for your workspace.
- Links: optional booking and chat links.
- Public access: the website addresses allowed to start a session, a rate limit, and Rotate token to issue new access details.
- Disclosure: the AI disclosure, always on.
Open talk surface opens the talk page so you can try it yourself.
Can I use my own voice provider account?
Yes. Under Operations → Voice providers you can add your own keys for ElevenLabs (the agent's voice) and Deepgram (understanding speech). Keys are encrypted and never shown back; you'll see only that a key is configured. Leave a provider blank and Appricity's shared account is used. Remove key reverts to the shared account.
Are voice minutes limited?
Yes. Each workspace has a monthly voice allowance (300 minutes recommended), and each deployment can cap minutes per session and per website per day, so a busy page can't use up the month.
Where else do voice agents appear?
In scheduling: agent-run meetings take place by voice with the meeting type's agent at the booked time.
Are voice conversations recorded?
Each voice conversation appears in Conversations under the Voice filter, with its transcript, so your team can read what was said.
